Lathes

I'm not a great wood turner but I do enjoy it.  

Lathes I have owned in the past 15 years:
Jet Mini lathe I turned my first bowls on this little guy, it did an OK job, but I wouldn't try turning a bowl on this again.
Delta 1440 Better lathe but parts started breaking and Delta had gone out of business so no replacement parts.
2014: Jet JWL1442VS A Good Professional lathe, pivoting head stock allowed me to do outboard bowl turning. plenty of power for me.   Only problem, as I added machines I realized its too large for my shop, I need something more compact.   JWL1442VS overview.
PowerMatic PM2014 Purchased December 2020.   I built another bench since it was much more compact.   This is a great lathe, good power, speed control, plenty big enough for any turning job I do, and it can do outboard turning.   I purchased the bed extender for it for outboard turning and anything large. Please take a look at the PM2014 and it's bench.
