When we bought the house the kitchen was showing it's age (30 years), so one of my projects became to update/modernise it.
The counter tops were replaced, the stove, the microwave, the pantry was in desperate shape, there was an ugly dark green wallpaper/wainscoat and wall paper borders, storage was extremely limited, and the bar seperating the kitchen and dining made the two rooms appear smaller.
