Trash Bag Storage

One of the storage problems around the house is how to store trash bags in a readily accessable maner.   I found that a set of shelves/racks adjacent to the garage door worked very well.

The shelves are in 2 sizes, a 5.5" and a 7.25" for small and large bags.   The smaller shelves have a 1x6 hase with a 1/2" plywood lip at the front.   The larger shelves are 7.25" wide (could go ahead and use a 1x8 at 7.5") with a 1/2" plywood lip at the front.   Both shelves are 10" wide.   The lips are made from 2.25" x 1/2" plywood 10" long and protrude 1.5" above the shelf.   There are two large and two small shelves one for the box in use and a spare in both cases.   Two 4' metal shelf brackets support each shelf.
