As I am assembling my brand new Jet JWBS-14SFX (S/N: 2018070504) and discovered a I couldn't get the fence to be parallel to the blade without wallowing out the fence rail mounting holes. So I took it apart and gave it a more through look. There was a white powdery substance that appears to be corrosion on the fence. The fence consists of steel lock bar, and aluminum parts. I attempted to remove the corrosion with WD-40 and turpentine which helped but it still looks and feels rough. I can probably sand it flat, but, I have a Kreg fence, which I like, so I'll use it instead of the factory original.
