I saw this on Marius Hornberger's Youtube site and thought it would be great for my shop.   Marius didn't show much about the clamp so I'll work that out.   It appears that Marius mounted a carriage bolt with a tee nut so when you turn the knob it rotates the carriage bolt, thredding it up through the tee nut into the slider's bottom.   My only concern is that too much pressure on the bottom of the laminate will tend to cup it upward.   Slides are cheap and easy to build another so...
