For years Betty has had a wicker chest at the foot of our bed. The foot locker was old, moults pieces of wicker, and isn't strong enough to sit on. Its also very big and bulky The wicker foot locker's time has come!
This looks like a job for mitered plywood, or Yellow Pine frame and inset panels???? Initially, I'm thinking the top would hinge up to open with a storage bin under neath. There would be two wide drawers below the top bin.
