Margarita

I enjoy a margarita with lunch, so when COVID-19 appeared, and we didn't go out for lunch, I came up with one I could make at home.   This recipe makes 128oz. (or 132oz.) (approx. 1 gallon).   If its too sweet, cut down the simple syrup.
Note: you need 5 C of simple syrup, so if its too sweet, reduce sugar and increase the water by the same amount so you still get 5 C of liquid.

Qty Meas Ingredient
2-1/4 CSugar
3-3/4 CWater
5 CLime Juice
4-1/2CTequila (Jose Quervo)
2 CTriple Sec (Hiram Walker)
1/4 C Orange Juice

Make a simple syrup from the sugar and water, pour into a pan heat and stir till the sugar is desolved.
We usually allow the simple syrup to cool before mixing.
Pour all ingredients into container (132 oz, or 16-1/2 C) shake well, cool and serve. /p>
