HACKS

Some things just can't be called features.

To make this clear, they go in the hack subdirectory and are referenced using the HACK macro. These will tend to be site-dependent.

The release includes the Berkeley-dependent "cssubdomain" hack (that makes sendmail accept local names in either Berkeley.EDU or CS.Berkeley.EDU; this is intended as a short-term aid while moving hosts into subdomains.
